Tours and informal visits to host councils
'Expanding Cultures' conference is about expanding networks. The pre-conference program has been developed in response to a key objective of this conference - people meeting, talking, and sharing ideas. The program in the two days before the formal conference program will provide an opportunity for delegates to take time out of the office to meet with old friends and colleagues and to develop new professional relationships. Staff from the arts and cultural development teams of host councils are making themselves available for informal meetings on-site during these two days.
More information about the arts and cultural programs of all host councils and links to their websites here.
Several traders in the conference precinct will provide discounts for conference delegates who want to meet and have coffee, a snack or cold lemonade at the end of the day. Please refer to the formal conference program for a map of meeting venues when it is published.
In addition, delegates are being asked to provide their mobile telephone numbers for publication in the conference program to allow quicker and more direct communication at the conference for that quick pitch or catch-up.
