This chapter includes two short articles discussing frameworks recommended to local government managers, artists, community leaders, planners and funders to make the most of resources they apply to their projects. Both these frameworks have been developed for the specific context of local government, but they can be used by any organization undertaking cultural development activity. The first is a set of planning principles that underpin cultural development projects. The second discusses the key stakeholder groups that are essential for successful and sustainable cultural development projects and the dynamic relationships between them.
